Room 406, Evening

After a weekend that ranked as fairly hellish, Isabel was glad that this week had been fairly calm and at times rather amusing. The movies had been a bit chilly but it was worth it to spend time with her friends and snuggle with Greg. Ethics hadn't been too traumatic, and then there was the science field trip. She was still shaking her head over their trip through Jack's body.

The music was playing as Isabel sat on her bed and went through the information from War Theory and the door was open.

"He's quite talented," she said, blushing a little. "I couldn't ask for a better boyfriend."

"Reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally?" It was a Dawn Summers secret how she could extend one word quite that far. She gleed at Isabel. "Tell what you can? For I am nosy and uninformed and have no ideas about this kind of thing?"

"I don't know," Isabel said. "Are you sure you're ready for it? I'm not sure Xander or your sister would approve of me telling you stuff like this."

"What they don't know won't hurt them," Dawn said, "Or me, hopefully. But Sam might owe you presents if you inspire me."

"Well in that case..." She looked thoughtful for a minute, "It was nice, even if we were both insanely nervous. But then you just kind of get caught up and you forget all about being nervous."

"You forget about being nervous? Like, completely?"

"Trust me," Isabel grinned. "You'll be completely focused on the moment."

Dawn swallowed and tried to imagine that. "If you say so," she said a little skeptically.

"Trust me," she said, smiling a little at the memory. "It was fun. It was also worth waiting for."

Dawn awwwwwwed. "Waiting is good. Right."

"It sounds cheesy and like some sort of PSA but it really did make a difference, at least to me," Isabel said a little sheepishly.

"And in other not so embarrassing news? Did I hear that your sister came by for the weekend?"

"She did," Dawn gleed again, and there was a little bouncing. "And she met all three Winchesters and didn't stake or maim any of them. How'd your weekend go?"

"That's good," Isabel said, laughing at the bouncing. "Did she realize that you and Sam are both boyfriend/girlfriend and roommates?" She shrugged, "I didn't kill Max and I'm still here. I'm calling the weekend a success."

"Oooooh, yeah," Dawn nodded, then rolled her eyes. "She put a big tape line down the middle of the room and declared Sam's side a Dawn free zone. And why would you kill Max?"

"She's not here now. And I promise I'll never mention any cross tape excursions if you ever tell me about them," she promised. "Bel accidently let Max know that he knew I was an alien, and then I told Max that it wasn't just him, that the entire school knew. He was pretty insistent that I go home to Roswell immediately."

Dawn winced. "So why don't you have to pack? Not that I'm not thrilled you're staying...and did you explain the whole we don't care part?"

"His big fear is that I'm in danger, be it from the FBI or other aliens who'd like to see us dead," Isabel explained. "I tried to tell him about the small army that would be at my back if I needed it, but I don't think he really believed me."

"It's hard to believe what goes on here if you're not here regularly to see it and experience it firsthand."

"Exactly," she nodded. "We finally agreed that I was going to stay but he's pretty sure I'm utterly crazy at this point."

"I'd be disappointed if you weren't," Dawn teased.

"Oh I admit to it," Isabel grinned. "Around here it's like a badge of honor."
