Room 406, early evening

Isabel returned to her room late in the afternoon and tried to work on her homework. Unfortunately it kept blurring in front of her eyes. Finally she gave up and started to paint her nails. The non-alien, labor intensive way.

Parker came by, tapping on the door with her knuckles. "Isabel? Is game night still on?"

"Parker? Is that you?" Isabel called from her ever so comfy spot on the bed.

Parker came in, then stopped at the foot of Isabel's bed. "Okay, you're not doing anything tonight. I can already tell."

"I can get up. Really, I can!" But she didn't move from her nest of pillows and blankets.

"Pffft. You didn't sleep at all last night, did you?" Parker pulled one blanket further over Isabel. "It's not important enough to lose rest over. We can do it next week, that's more than soon enough."

"No, I didn't. But I did get naps in World Civ and Government. I thought that," YAWN!!! "Would be enough."

"Hardly. You've had a shock, on top of no rest. You need more sleep to process it. I slept 14 hours straight after the first mess I had to deal with here." Parker hit the lights on her way out. "I will see you *tomorrow*. Okay?"
