Room 406, Late Afternoon

Isabel was unpacking her bags after the trip to Grayson. It had been different, and it made her wonder what life on Antar would be like.

The door was open and Christmas carols were playing.

Greg looked alarmed. "There's more than one?"

"Of course," she said. "Nothing too, too big or fancy. But lots of little fun ones."

"You didn't have to do that," Greg said, snugging her closer.

"But that's part of the fun of Christmas!" Isabel pointed out. "And if you shop online you avoid all the craziness at the mall."

"But I don't need anything!" Greg protested.

"So? That means I can get you wildly impractical fun things," she said. "That more then likely your roommate will hate me for."

"Don't make Peter mad," Greg said, "I already gave him my cold."

"You did? That's not nice. Want me to bring him some chicken soup by?" Isabel asked. "Or I can always bring him some of the herbal stuff Maria used to use."

"I didn't do it on purpose," Greg said sulkily.

"Oh I know, and I'm sure he knows it as well," she promised, tickling his ribs lightly. "I'm just glad you're better now. I felt bad, you looked so unhappy with all that sneezing."

"I was really hot, I bet," Greg decided, completely serious. No, really.

"You were feverish," Isabel agreed, brushing back his hair.

"Well, that too," Greg smirked.

"Oh, I get it now," Isabel said as if she'd just discovered one of the secrets of the universe. "You're right, the sickbed look is going to be the next big thing."

"Yes," Greg said, nodding. "I am such a trendsetter."

"You're going to be on the pages of GQ any day now," Isabel grinned. "My centerfold."

"All the other girls will be so jealous of you," Greg said, nuzzling her neck.

"I'll be chasing them away from you with sticks," she murmured, enjoying the nuzzling. "Feel like hanging out for a while and watching a movie? Or possibly being otherwise distracted?"

"Ooooh," Greg said, kissing her ear. "I very definitely think this is a good idea."

"I'm just full of good ideas," Isabel agreeed as she started edging back towards her bed, tugging Greg along with her.
