Room 406, afternoon

Isabel had reached the point where studying just wasn't happenening any longer. A quick phone call had Parker appearing, loaded down with gifts.

The door was open, the carols were playing, Annie was wearing a wee Santa hat and Parker and Isabel were laughing like demented elves as they ate chocolate and drank eggnog while waiting for people to come by so they could hand out holiday presents.


[Assume handwavey phone calls telling their friends to stop by!]

Parker chortled. "It shouldn't? I just couldn't resist." She plunked a basket down in front of Faithful. "Happy Solstice and Christmas and Hannukah, Faithful." Parker gave Alanna a speculative look. "Now, don't you think I could get you something just as nice?"

Alanna raised a brow. "You're going to fix my love life, take my finals for me, cat-sit Faithful, and help me figure out how to be in two places at once?" Faithful? Was playing with his gift. "Thank you, ignore the girl."

"You're welcome," Parker said, scratching behind Faithful's ears, then pulled out four medium sized packages. "Your finals are yours, 'cause I'm done with mine, woo, Faithful's welcome whenever, why do you have to be two places at once and what's wrong with your love life?"

Alanna looked at the clothes, then at Parker. "Wow, uh...thank you, really this is, wow. And my love life has too many annoying men it in. Namely? Gary, Thom, George, and Jon. And who ever decided that Charlene is a nice name." She peered at Parker suspiciously. "Speaking of, I got the strangest letters from my friends."

Parker attempted to look innocent. "Really? I never even talked to some of them. George, hunh? That's news." She grinned. "And you're welcome. I figured as lady of the manor or knight of the realm, you ought to look impressive. And warm."
