Room 406, afternoon

After a Thursday that included finals, playing Santa with Jarod at the Perk, delivering presents to Parker, and then running the coffee cart, Isabel was ready for a quiet day.

The door's open and Isabel is sprawled on her bed watching the few Christmas movies they didn't get to watch last night.

Bel was aimlessly wandering the halls of the dorm when he passed by Isabel's open door. He paused and poked his head in. "Glad to be done with classes?" he said with a grin.

"I am thrilled to be done with classes," Isabel grinned. "Come on in. You're going to LA right?"

Bel nodded. "That's the plan. I may stick around here for a few days, then go to San Francisco so Phoebe can introduce me to her grandmother. And if I survive that, we'll head to LA right afterwards."

"I'm sticking around for the break," she said. "I thought about LA but I think it'll be nice to spend the holidays with Jack and Cedric and whoever else is around. We can do the presents thing Christmas morning." Isabel held out a box. "But just in case you leave before then, here father of my egg baby. A present for you."

"Awww, thanks," Bel said, accepting the box. "I don't have your present yet. But I will, really!"

"No worries," Isabel smiled. "I just saw that and thought and knew it was for you. And I'm ridiculously organized when it comes to Christmas so I've had it since October."

Bel blinked. "October?" he repeated. "I just thought about starting Christmas shopping, umm...two days ago."

"My brother and Michael have a reason for calling me the Christmas Nazi," she shrugged sheepishly.

"Guess I better get cracking, then," Bel said. "I've never done real Christmas shopping before, though. Well, last year a little, but not much. I was still kinda evil then."

"You'd better," Isabel said. "Good luck with the stores, they're going to be insane this weekend."

"See, this is why is sucks I can't shimmer anymore," Bel pouted.

"Oh horrors, you're going to have to shop just like the rest of us mere mortals?"

"And get a job soon since I bet my credit cards won't work much longer," Bel said sulkily.

Isabel blinked. "The Underworld has credit cards?"

"Demons infiltrate the mortal world all the time," Bel said. "We've...I mean they've...gotta have cover stories and resources."

"That makes sense," she nodded. "And I suppose it would be very bad of me to suggest you find someone to hack their files?"

"Now there's an idea," Bel said, rubbing his chin thoughtfully. "I think I like the sound of that."

Isabel covered her face and shook her head. "Won't that make them a little cranky if they ever found out?"

Bel grinned. "Demons are always cranky anyway," he pointed out.

"Which is why we shouldn't go looking for ways to make them more cranky," she said firmly. "So it looks like you'll be joining the ranks of the working folks."

Bel pouted.

"I don't know how to do anything...normal," he said.

"This is Fandom. Normal is both relative and completly overrated," Isabel pointed out.

"True," Bel said with an overly dramatic sigh. "But what am I going to do? Work at Caritas? Rent myself out at the Sin?"

"I think Phoebe might have a problem with the Sin," she laughed. "So maybe Caritas. You can mix drinks can't you?"

"Sure, they're like potions, right? Only less explodey," Bel said.
