"A mountain in space?" Cedric questioned. "Is that possible?"

"Not that I'm aware of. Well, except on some of the cheesier sci-fi shows," Isabel laughed. "This is a rollercoaster with a space theme. So expect lots of stars and moons, and we'll be riding in a car that looks like rocket ship. In the dark, no less, so it'll supposed to be like you're shooting through space." She pointed at the white dome as they walked up to it. "The mountain part is because that's mountainous compared to everything else around it."

"Rollercoaster?" Cedric questioned. "Sounds...odd."

From:

"Oh god," she said weakly. "You've never done this before. Are you sure you want this to be your first ride? You don't want to start out simpler? Like the Jungle Cruise?"

From:

"You don't think I can do it?"

From:

"Oh I think you can. I'm just trying to ease you into the new experiences thing," Isabel explained quickly. "Sort of like wading and floating around a bit in the shallow end of the pool before leaping off the ten foot tall high board into the deep end."

From:

He smirked and said, "I think this ride will do fine for my first ride. No need to ease in."

From:

"Okay, but if you wind up traumatized, I am not taking the blame." They were quickly approaching the front of the line and Isabel pointed out the cars and the tracks. "We'll be riding in them, up there through that."

From:

"I don't think I'll be traumatized," he said, somehow doubting this could come close to what he'd felt recently. "But I won't blame you if that does happen. It won't though."

From:

"Okay then. Cause it looks like it's our turn." Isabel climbed in and sat down. "You can have the front seat. It's the best."

From:

"I'm not going to fall out, am I?" Cedric half joked.

From:

She looked up from buckling her seatbelt. "Nope, just make sure to buckle up. You'll be perfectly safe."

From:

He buckled up, stuck his hands tightly at his sides and waited for...whatever was coming.

From:

The car rolled forward into a dark tunnel and voice called out - Three, Two, One...Lauching!

With a sudden jerk, they were off.

From:

"All right, well then," Cedric started to say before they jerked away. After that, he kind of just kept his mouth shut and concentrated on making sure the seat belt was buckled tightly.

From:

There's an occasional squeak of glee from Isabel as they rounded corners and went down the smaller hills. When the car slowed down and the familiar clack-clack sounded as the car was pulled up to the highest point, she leaned forward over Cedric's shoulder. "So what do you think?"

Angela looked at the shape of the ride, then at her shoes, then at the ride again. "Um. Does anyone else sometimes get kind of motion-sick?"

"It doesn't bother me," Isabel shrugged. "It's like a giant wild mouse ride."

From:

"I'm usually okay as long as I'm not upside down or going down a really steep hill," Angela said, reassured. She looked at the line. "It can't be too bad, all these little kids are doing it."

From:

"There's no upside down and only one relatively steep hill," Isabel promised. "But compared to some of the rollercoasters at some of the Six Flags parks it's really not that big at all."

From:

"I'll try it," Angela shrugged, holding her place in line. "This was a great idea, by the way."

From:

"I'm glad you were able to come," she smiled. "I'd told Cedric about it when we decided to come out here since they don't have anything like it where he's from. It just made sense to see who else wanted to come with us."

"Poor Cedric," Angela said. "Though I guess his world has magic, so maybe not."

"Have you been here before?"
