Disneyland, all day

Isabel had tried to be mature and blase about going to Disney. But by the time they'd gotten their tickets, gotten into the park and were standing on Main Street, she was pretty much bouncing with excitement. "Okay, where do you want to go first?"

[Anyone in LA can hop in. Just assume a handwavey invite. Please wait for the OCD is up! But I'm still insane]

"That's not exactly what I meant," she laughed. "But that doesn't matter because for the moment I am hugely amused by the thought a six month old mini-you in a Versace onesie."

Parker cocked her head. "She'd be cute. Give her that. And she probably wouldn't throw up as much as other kids." She snickered. "And really cool shoes."

"And a hat. Because little kids look adorable in hats," Isabel grinned. "Speaking of hats, are we getting Mickey ears before we leave? I definitely need to get a pair for Cedric. Maybe a pair for Jack?"

Parker snickered. "God, yes." She watched some of the robot birds flap their wings, and said, "I want photos of you two wearing them in front of the castle. And if you see Aeryn wearing them, yell, please. I *need* a photo of that."

"I will pay good money for a picture of Aeryn in Mickey ears. Did you see John taking her on It's a Small World?" Isabel asked. "She's going to be twitchy by the time she comes off." She patted the pocket her phone was tucked into. "You'll have to take pictures for us. Cause I do want one. Do you think he's having fun? I mean I dragged him out here with a bunch off people he barely knows."

"How can he not have fun? It's the Magic Kingdom." Parker grinned. "Honestly, he looked like he was enjoying himself on Space Mountain. And I keep meaning to grab him and check in on him-- if he wants to go back to the Hotel, I'll ask him, okay? I don't think it's likely, though."

"True, but remember, there's an entirely different kind of magic where he comes from. A bit more literal kind." Isabel shrugged, "I just want him to have fun. He hasn't said anything, but I still get a feeling that his trip home wasn't all that great."

Parker frowned. "Still waters as a concept was invented for Ced. I'd just like to know how we can help, if he doesn't feel like talking about it." She shook her head. "You guys are planning on staying until after New Year's, right? New Year's Day, or longer?"

"Still and dry," she said. "Beware the wand jokes. They come out of nowhere and just...wow..." Isabel shrugged once more. "We never really discussed it but we'll probably stay through the first. Although now I feel bad because I'm pretty sure Greg was coming back to Fandom for New Year's. I need a clone."

Parker snickered in delight, then rolled her eyes. "You have one. She's evil. And she'd grab Ced and leave him in the desert somewhere after she was through with him."

"Oh damnit, I'd been repressing that," Isabel whined. "You're right. She'd eat him alive and then Jack would be pissed at me. And that would be bad."

"Very. For both you and Ced." Parker shook her head, then watched Jose again for a while, and absently said, "Of course, you *could* go back to Fandom, I guess, and then come back here, but God knows what the Portal would cost you."

"Nah, I'll stay. I'll just have to make it up to him. Maybe it might be worth a purchase on Rodeo. From the right store."

Parker darted her a glance, her grin widening. "Aeryn saw those shops. And didn't want to go in them."

"I have no such qualms," Isabel grinned back. "Maybe we can double team her and drag her in? I bet John would appreciate it."

"Just keep her away from the weapons chest. I do want to live through New Years." The storm started and Isabel looked around, "This is dorky, but still pretty cool."

Parker was watching some of the little kids in the audience with fascination and distaste. "It is. They're having even more fun with it, though." She nodded toward them. "It would've been fun to come here as a little kid."

"We were about eight the first time we came here with our parents," she said, smiling at the memory. "It was pretty magical."

Pakrer looked envious. "We came out to L.A. to visit my mom's friends in Catalina when I was-- seven? I think. But we didn't get to do anything touristy, really. We weren't here that long. I did get to hit the beach, though." She smiled again. "Have you talked to your parents since break started? Or Max the Idiot?"

"I did talk to my folks on Christmas morning. They're doing well," Isabel said. "Not thrilled that I stayed, but they were glad I was happy. As for Max, he grunted Merry Christmas at me. And supposedly there's going to be package waiting for me when I get back."

Parker ducked as one of the macaws flew by on a wire, then said, "Well, at least he sent one. Oh! I forgot to tell you. Christmas present from Daddy. I'm getting a Vespa."

"We're slowly working things out. An email here, a message passed on from Maria. It just takes time." Isabel grinned. "Oh neat! Are you going to have Bridge or Sam soup it up so it can fly?"
