Disneyland, all day

Isabel had tried to be mature and blase about going to Disney. But by the time they'd gotten their tickets, gotten into the park and were standing on Main Street, she was pretty much bouncing with excitement. "Okay, where do you want to go first?"

Molly shrugged. "Considering my parents' plan for the future of all humanity, I can understand that now. At the time though, I didn't talk to him for a week."

"Oh, I've been on the kiddie rides," Molly said dismissively, "but none of the big, fast ones."

"There are some fun kiddie rides," Ray said. "Not so bad."

"Yeah, but I wanted to go on the fast rides!" Molly said.

Okay, so maybe she was still a little upset about her previous trip.

"Well, you're gonna get your chance now," he laughed. "And if you'd gone on them when you were younger, you might've lost your lunch."

Molly thought about it. "I did eat kind of a lot that day. I remember I was kind of sick the next day."

"See?" Ray laughed and moved when the line did. "Throwing up on a ride would suck."

Molly made a grumpy face. "If he'd of let me go on the rides, I wouldn't have eaten so much."

She stood up on her tiptoes to try and see how close they were to the front. "How much longer? Can you see?"

"I haven't been to an amusement park in a looooong time," she said with a grin.

"I haven't either," Ray said. "Hope I don't throw up," he joked.

He patted his stomach and pretended to look sick.

Molly made a face and gave him a very light punch on the arm. "Don't even kid."

"Why not?" He crossed his eyes and made another face.

The line started moving as the previous ride ended and they started to let people on for the next one.

"Because I don't want to even think about being sick while we're on the ride," she said as she moved forward.

"Not really," she said. "I'd rather not take the chance though."

"Pffff. As if," Molly said with a dismissive wave. "I'm not scared of anything... except bugs."

He'd been about to say bugs when she'd added that last bit. He didn't tease though.

"I think we're almost up."

Molly had been expecting him to tease her about the bugs, so when he didn't, she reached down to take his hand as they moved forward in line.

"oh, good. The new Space Battles movies were kind of bad, but I loved the originals. This ride should be fun."

He squeezed her hand and said, "Never seen them. Am I missing something good?"
