Getting up on a cold winter morning was difficult, it was especially difficult when someone was snuggled up to you. But duty called.

Isabel opened the library on time, her usual mocha in hand.

"He's chained?" Angela asked, looking sad. "And I knew whoever kidnapped me wasn't ... a person. I just had no idea how big it was." She shuddered. "Definitely worse than an invasion."

"He's chained and has pretty much given up. I tried to talk to him, but he just wanted me out of there before I got hurt." Isabel gestured at the books she still had scattered about the counter. "I've been trying to figure out a way to save him. Mostly so that I can kill him for getting into this mess. But I can't."
