Getting up on a cold winter morning was difficult, it was especially difficult when someone was snuggled up to you. But duty called.

Isabel opened the library on time, her usual mocha in hand.

Lucas came in, laptop bag slung over his shoulder, to pass the time between classes. "Isabel, hi. I didn't know you did the whole library...thing." She really didn't look like a library geek.

"Hi Lucas," she waved, closing the book with a sigh. "I work here one day a week. Usually I do homework or whatever. But today is research day."

"I wish. A friend's been possessed by the Source of All Evil. I'm trying to figure out a way to save his ass," she explained. "Mostly so that then I can kill him for getting himself possessed in the first place."

After a brief 'WTF?' moment, Lucas replied. "Possession doesn't sound like something someone can really stop."

Isabel noticed the WTF moment and smiled. "Welcome to Fandom, where things that seem like the plots of bad horror movies happen on a regular basis. You might be right though. Maybe we can't stop it. But I'm not willing to just write Bel off. I've got to look."

"Well actually...that was last summer," Isabel said, remembering the Gentlemen. "Some demons came in, stole everyone's voices and then tried to take some people's hearts. They almost got one of my good friends."

"I wish I knew. This isn't anything I'm used to dealing with," she admitted. "And it doesn't help that half of the stuff is written in languages I don't know. I'm mostly just flipping through, looking at pictures and occasionally attempting to translate stuff."

"It's fun. I get to see people plus I usually get first dibs on the new magazines when they get in," Isabel grinned. "To say nothing of any new Angelica Desmesnes books."
