Room 406, Friday morning through afternoon

It had been a long, wet walk back up from the causeway and Isabel was grateful to get out of the rain by the time the reached the dorms. Her key was gone, left somewhere back on Antar, so she used her powers to open the door. Stepping inside the room, Isabel looked around and blinked a lot, not quite able to believe she was really back.

After getting the message from Parker, Cedric walked down the hall and slowly peeked his head around the door frame, not quite sure if he believed it.

Isabel heard a noise in the hall, looked up, and smiled. "Xander I need to go. I'll stop soon okay?" She listened to his answer. "Yes. Bye."

"Are you real?" Hey, it was a valid question in this town.

"I'm real," she said, nevermind the fact that she had to keep reminding herself that she really was back in Fandom. Isabel held out her hand. "I promise. Come in. I missed you."

He walked inside, quicker now, and couldn't help the smile that came to his face. "I missed you too."

"Well, I'm back," Isabel smiled up at him. "And I'm not planning on leaving again anytime soon. So you might possibly be stuck with me."

"Are you all right?" he asked. "Are you injured?"

"I'm fine, but you're scruffy!" she said with horror. "What happened?"

"I...what?" He figured out what she meant fairly quickly. "Oh. I've been lazy."

"Oh really?" Worrying about other people meant she didn't have to think about the time on Antar. Isabel had been thinking about Parker's phone call and what it meant. She didn't like any of the conclusions she was coming up with. "What does Jack think about that?" she asked casually.

"About what?" he asked, carefully avoiding that question.

"That," Isabel said rubbing her chin. Scooting back against the pillows against the wall, she patted the spot next to her. "Come sit. Tell me what's going on."

"It's just laziness on my part," he said, sitting beside her and trying his level best to sound convincing.

She might be tired and a bit strung out, but Isabel still had one hell of a Bitch, please look. "Try again. I assume this has something to do with why he told Parker to call you instead of just going down the hall to get you, or calling you himself?"

He frowned and had to look away. "It's been a bit of a rough week."

"Trust me, I can relate to that," Isabel muttered, reaching for his hand and holding on tightly. "What happened?"

"We don't have to talk about it," he said, squeezing her hand. "I don't want to burden anybody with this."

"It's not a burden. I ask because I care," she said. "And if something happened, I want to know. I love the two of you to death and I want you both to be happy."

"We're not exactly speaking right now," Cedric said, not really knowing another way to describe it. "I guess? I don't know."

"And this just happened? For no reason?" Isabel prompted.

"No, there was a reason," he said but stopped there. Because he was a dork.

"Don't make me hurt you," she said dryly. Isabel wiggled the fingers of her free hand at him. "Or even worse, tickle you till you tell me what's going."

"He asked me about sharing the night you left," he said quietly.

It took a moment for Isabel to realize what Cedric meant, then she slowly banged her head against the wall. "Thank you for not turning him into something small and slimy." She stopped banging her head and shifted a bit to lean against his shoulder. "I'm sorry."

He shrugged and, again, tried to look as nonchalant as he could manage. It wasn't working well. "I sent him away because I wanted to be alone after that."
