Room 406, evening

A week that had included library duty, a night out at Caritas, movies with a friend, exams, and plotting a rescue mission meant that Isabel was pretty damn tired when she went to bed on Friday night. Unfortunately the conversation with Rikku brought memories and Isabel didn't actually get into a deep sleep until some time just before dawn. She slept till noon when the sound of yelling and chaos in the hallways woke her.

A quick look out her door found Isabel shutting it quickly. Beyond grateful to whatever quirk of Fandom left her still eighteen, she decided an afternoon with a good book was much better then weetiny chaos.

After a quiet afternoon, Isabel finally got out her camera and opened her door.

"They are. I've been hiding," Isabel admitted.

"Why didn't I get to be four again? That was fun!" Parker folded her arms and grumbled. "I'm not taking care of them. There's no blackmail potential, not compared to the teachers. And they're not mine." She made a face. "You know, this is something I *won't* miss about this place. Random childcare being foisted on me."

"I'm glad I'm not. I was too afraid and shy as a little kid," she replied, handing over the chocolate. "I'm not too worried about taking care of them. I figure the island will mostly. Although I am planning on stealing Cedric's broom later on. I don't want to take that big a chance."

"I think that's probably a smart move," Parker couldn't help but agree. She took a couple chocolates, and sighed in relief. "Right. I'm just gonna hide until this is done. With the occasional photo if someone's being really, really embarassing." She grinned. "Remember being bridesmaids last year?"

"I do. The flowers, the Mountie, the vows," Isabel laughed. "It was fun. I'm glad I just finally stopped hiding in my room."

"Reminds me that I have to have a 'chat' with Fraser as soon as the graduation ceremony is over," Parker said, smirking a little. "How many little people have you run into so far?"

"Oh can I be a fly on the wall for that chat?" she grinned. "Alanna and Cedric came by, Anders came by as well. He's still big but Bel and Phoebe are little. Oh, and Jack's little. He made Cedric waffles for breakfast."

"I'm terrified to ask how that went," Parker said, taking another chocolate. "And what kind of state the Common Room's in." She grinned. "Bel's little? There's a terror to be avoided."

"I don't know for sure, but my very active imagination is filling in the details," Isabel laughed. "Ander's is looking out for him. So hopefully you'll be able to avoid him."

"Please, God." Parker shook her head, rolling her eyes. "I tried to go down and open up the Gun Range, but everything's Nerf and waterguns again. Not exactly worth the effort. This whole Island likes little kids better than high school students. Bel would probably be able to do something dreadful if he wanted and not suffer a scratch, while I'd lose shoes to burning."

"Quite possibly. You should go down to your room, order in dinner and then watch a movie for the night," she suggested. "Relax for the evening."

"Plan. And possibly call people off-Island, remind them why they left this place," Parker said, taking one last chocolate. "Come find me if it gets to be too much, all right?"

"I will, I promise," Isabel grinned. "I think I'll be safe as long as I don't leave the room. Hopefully."

Parker opened the door, peeked outside, then said, "Banzai!" and took off like a shot.
