Room 406, Late afternoon/early evening

After her conversation with Cam and a stop in town, Isabel spent the rest of the day in the room with the door locked. She ran out during 5th and 6th period for Western Literature but came back as soon as it was over and got back to work.

By the time Cam is due to arrive, there was a small medium large basket sitting on her desk filled with brownies, chocolate covered strawberries, chocolate covered pretzels, and chocolate covered apples.

As Izzy asked, Cameron dropped by during 7th and 8th period. He knocked on the door.

With one last look around the room to make sure that there was no evidence of exactly how she'd made everything, Isabel opened the door. "Hey, just in time."

"Yo," Cameron greeted as he entered. "I do my best."

"Yo?" Isabel raised an eyebrow as Cam entered. "I? I what? I'm here?"

"What?" Cameron asked confused.

Isabel shook her head, "Sorry, my brother's friend used to say that a lot and I would tease him about it. Yo means I in Spanish. So I would bug him about what great announcement he was trying to make."

Cameron frowned, quite possibly sulked a bit. "I don't think I wanted to know that."

She nudged his shoulder as she passed him on the way to the desk. "Come on, I was only teasing. Don't be grumpy."

"I'm not grumpy. You just told me my girlfriend calls me I-I," Cameron pointed out.

"Technically if she calls you yo-yo, she's calling you a small toy that goes up and down a string." She might have rolled her eyes as she stopped at the desk and picked up the basket. "Here, lots of chocolate goodies to enjoy."

"I'm very aware of that," Cameron stared at the basket. "Wow, you really went all out. What happened to just brownies?"

Isabel shrugged and looked a little sheepish. "I might have gotten a bit carried away. But it was easy enough I used my secret alien-fu. Besides, at least I'll know someone is having a nice Valentine's day while I'm sitting here doing my homework."

Cameron grinned, bounced and quickly kissed her on the cheek as thanks. "Thanks, you rock and it looks and smells awesome."

Bouncing and kissy Cam was very cute so she laughed. "Good, I'm glad you liked it. I hope Vala will to."

"I'm sure she will," Cameron grinned. "According to Parker I can't go wrong with chocolate. So this? Very much kicks ass and I owe you big time."

"Parker is a very smart woman. You won't go wrong if you listen to her," Isabel grinned back. "And don't worry about it, it's really not that big a deal."

"It's a big deal when it might save my date from sucking," Cameron pointed out. "It's Vala's first Valentine so it should be special."

"It'll be great. A nice private movie. Chocolate. What more do you need?" She stopped and thought about it, "That's right, it is her first Valentine's isnt' it? I guess they don't have Hallmark to popularize it on another planet."

"No, I don't suppose so. There's a huge market out there waiting to be discovered," he grinned as he could imagine Vala trying to make that popular and get rich on. "Ugh, I need to go though. Or I'll be late for class."

"Go, don't be late. I need to start getting ready for the party myself. And if I don't see you tomorrow," she reached out and gave him a quick hug, "Happy Valentine's Day."

He's caught by surprise but wrapped an arm around her and hugged her back. "Happy Valentine. Try not go get eaten by homework, okay?" He chuckled.

Hugs? Were nice. She enjoyed it for a second or two and then pulled away, pointing towards the door. "Go! Don't be late!" she said with a smile.

"Yes, ma'am." Cameron saluted her, then picked up the basket and headed out of the door. "Thanks!" He said again over his shoulder.

Isabel smiled as she watched him close the door, glad she was able to help and in no way depressed because of what her mun knows.
