Still beyond pleased that they actually were able to pull it off, Isabel returned from Rikku's and made a phone call. Then she opened up her laptop and started tracking down spoilers for the season finales of all her favorite shows.

Jack spluttered with laughter and let her go, dropping to lie back on the bed. "I know what it involves if Cedric says it, but I'm pretty sure that's not what he meant!"

She thwapped him lightly on the stomach. "I know that you dork. That's why my options are limited."

"Ow!" Jack rubbed his stomach and gave her a very hurt look. "Izzy, you think I can't come up with anything besides sex to offer? I do have other talents." Okay, most of them related back to it in some way.

Isabel blew him a kiss. "Well start offering. We can negotiate a price per picture. I'll even include the pictures I took of Cedric on Saturday afternoon."

"Those ones I really want." Jack sat up and looked at her thoughtfully. "I can make you dinner?" he offered.

"Will you include something incredibly decadent for dessert?" she asked.

"Yes," he agreed quickly. "Anything you want. Chocolate and coffee and whip cream and caramel, maybe raspberries. Sound decadent enough?"

"Amazingly so. And if any of your other friends turn up, I promise I'll be very nice to them," Isabel teased.

"Aww, come on, Izzy!" Jack gave her puppy dog eyes worthy of his six year old self. "I was tired and hungry, and I just wanted my Isabel," he explained, shifting to rest his head on her leg and look up at her innocently. "And I apologised."

"I think the exact phrase was My Izzy," she laughed, running her fingers through his hair. "You did. You were very cute. And Peter was very good with you."

He closed his eyes and groaned. "I was only six. Who else was I going to come looking for? Of course I wanted my Izzy. It was a bit of a shock to find someone else was here first." He paused and grinned. "And looking very at home, too, I might add. Anything you want to share with me?"

Isabel rolled her eyes. "You just wanted someone to fuss over you. Which I was happy to do since you were so cute and cuddley. And there's nothing to share. Peter's a friend."

"I wanted you to fuss over me. If I'd have been happy with someone else, I'd have stayed in Parker's room," he said, smiling softly. "A friend, huh? He was - not that my six year old eyes were good at picking it, but my nineteen year old memory can - extremely cute. All that floppy hair."

"You found her hiding spot?" she laughed. "She'd stopped by here earlier on Saturday. She said she was going to hide till everyone was normal again."

Isabel shrugged indifferently, "I really hadn't noticed."

"I knocked on her door and made big eyes at her until she let me in. And gave me hot chocolate, and her robe, and told me a story. And how could you not notice?" Jack propped himself up on his elbows and looked at her in amazement.

"Well you're you," Isabel grinned. "You rate even if you're small and slightly sticky." There was more eye rolling as she messed up Jack's hair. "Okay, he's cute. But he's a friend. I've done the big good-bye once. I'm not going to do it again."

"Okay, okay." He held up his hands. "Last word on the subject. I promise." Probably. "But he did seem like a good guy, especially after I was so rude. I'll have to track him down and apologise properly."

"You should," she nodded. "I'm sure he'd appreciate it."

"You know, I do have something for you. I was going to give it to you over the weekend but I figured it was better to wait."

"A present?" He sat up and looked at her curiously. "Am I going to like it?"

"It's nothing big," Isabel warned him, as she retrieved and envelope from her desk. "Here. I thought you might like copies of these."

Jack opened the envelope and slid the photos out. The first one was a picture of Cedric and Aiden, and the corner of his mouth quirked up, turning into a full blown smile as he looked through them. Him with Alexandria, Cedric with pink hair. "Pink hair?" he chuckled. "Oh, I can't wait to tell him I have this one."

"He stopped by one day, a few weeks ago," she explained. "And we wound up being incredibly silly. I figured you'd like a copy."

"These are great, Isabel. Thank you." His eyes were locked on the photos as he looked through them. "They're wonderful."

Isabel rested her hand on his shoulder. "Just something to help you remember us."

He turned his head to kiss her hand, then rested his cheek against it. "Thank you, Isabel. It means a lot."
