Room 406, evening

Workshops and Rikku's Party meant Isabel didn't get as much done on Monday as she would have liked. So after crashing the insane class and finishing up at the library Isabel was a little busy getting everything ready. Fortunately by the time 7:00 came, dinner was ready and dessert was hidden out of sight.

Isabel shrugged, "I know. Just call me grandma."

"Well, if you insist," he said and smirked.

"I'm also going to insist that you do the dishes tonight," she told him. "Since I'm so feeble and all."

"It would be the least I could do," he said. "For someone so feeble and all."

"I'll just sit here and age," Isabel nodded. "Besides, shouldn't it be easy for you? Just wave your magic wand and make it all go poof?"

"You'll have to specify which wand," he teased, smiling.

She opened and closed her mouth a few times and then finally shook her head. "Sorry, I refuse to answer the question on the grounds that well...just no."

He grinned and said, "Fair enough. And I wouldn't use either wand to clean dishes, just to let you know."

"Awww, now I'm disappointed. I had visions of the plates dancing around while a jaunty tune played in the background," Isabel laughed. "I think I watched too many Disney movies."

"That happens in Disney movies?"

"There's a whole chorus number with dinnerware in Beauty and the Beast and Fantasia has dancing mops. I've got them if you want to stick around and watch movies for a while," she offered. "Unless you need to get back so Puff won't die of loneliness."

"Puff's more interested in his toys than he is me," Cedric replied. "I want to see dancing mops!"

"Well why don't we clean up then. And I will help," Isabel said. "Then we can settle in and watch movies till we're guaranteed technicolor dreams."

"That sounds good," Cedric said and finished his cake before he started gathering dishes up.

A short while later, after the dishes had been cleaned up and put away, Isabel slipped the DVD into the player and took a seat on her bed. "Here," she said, patting her shoulder. "Because it's your birthday you can be the leaner for a change."

"Oooh," he said, flopping down and leaning against her. "Hm. Comfortable."

"That's me. Your personal pillow person," Isabel replied, messing up his hair.

"And such a good pillow," he remarked, shaking his hair out of his eyes.

"Do you think it's a viable career path?" she asked. She was not thinking about messing his hair up again. Honestly.

"Of course it is," he said, nodding. "You'd be the best pillow ever."

"I just wonder if there's enough room for advancement," Isabel said, shifting a little so that it was more of a mutual lean, as the previews ended and the credits started. Content, she smiled, "Happy Birthday, Cedric."
