Room 406, Thursday afternoon

After going to the gym and then getting annoyed with Cam, Isabel returned to her room and attempted to study for her US Government midterm. She only had to stop occasionally to wipe her eyes.

"Right now my plans for vacation include sleep, hitting the gym a lot, and going on the trip to Baltimore." She tilted her head, "Did you hear about that? I really do need to get some posters up. But StuCo is sponsering a trip up to the Inner Harbor in Baltimore one day next week. If you guys are around, maybe you can go. There's lots to do up there."

"Really? That sounds pretty cool. We'll definitely have to check into that. I've never really been anywhere outside Smallville till I got here - and other than a couple of trips to the mainland to see Shep when he was in the hospital there..." Lana shrugs. "It would be nice to see some new places."

"The Inner Harbor is great. The National Aquarium is up there, there's a zoo, a science museum. Plus there's a maritime museum that has a bunch of Navy ships. There's shopping, and I might go visit Poe's grave if I have time." She grinned, "Yes, I have been researching it."

"Excellent! I'll have to stick with you then," Lana says with a grin.

Isabel laughed, "Well, I'm researching and making plans to see and do a lot, but I'm afraid I might get into the aquarium and never come out. It looks really cool."

Lana laughs. "That's funny, because when you were talking about the different places my first thought was 'oooh, aquarium!'"

"It looks cool. Plus not only do they have fish, but they also have a big rain forest exhibit you can walk through," Isabel said. "The Market looks cool as well. Apparently there's over 100 vendors selling everything from fresh fish, to lunch to souveniers. I was hoping to stop by there to get some stuff for picnic. Of course it all depends on the weather."

"Oh, now I'm really hoping it all works out so I can go!" Lana smiles at Isabel. "Well, you've brightened my day, that's for sure!"

"Glad to be of service Lana. And thank you. I'm not as mopey as I was," Isabel smiled.

"We'll have to be each other's sort of unofficial cheering up squad," Lana said with a rueful smile. "I know I always seem to feel better about things after I've talked to you."

"I'm glad I can help," Isabel said. "And I'm sure that this will be over soon. Parker has I-club investigating it. Hopefully they'll figure out what's wrong and how to fix it soon."

Lana nodded. "And if anyone can get to the bottom of this, she'll find them and make sure it happens. Just yeah, please, make it soon!"

She sighs deeply. "Well, I think I'm going to head back to my room and put my feet up. Classes are almost done for the week and I could use a break - and something to distract me from how hungry I am. Anyway, thanks for cheering me up. I'll catch you later, okay? And if there's anything you need I'm just in 403."
