Fortunately work had been quiet and Isabel was able to get a significant amount of work done on her applications. That's why she didn't feel guilty when she grabbed her laptop and answered an email, then flipped on the TV to look for something cheesy to watch.

The door was open.

"No, fortunately." And that was something Isabel was insanely grateful for. "I was almost spider food but Wyatt saved me." Parker could probably hear that smile.

"Your heeeero," Parker teased, but smiled anyway. "Good! If he hadn't done that with all his special magic skills, I would have thought he was seriously stupider than previously believed."

"He's not stupid," Isabel said immediately. "He's sweet and nice and he arranged the perfect first date for us last week."

"Someone's a smitten kitten. Where did you guys go?"

Stella wandered into the room in her robe, and on seeing Parker's and Nourhane's preparations, said, "Do I want to know?"

"More deniability if you don't," Parker told her.

"Me? No, not at all." She was so lying and knew Parker would know it. "We went out to the cabins for a campfire complete with take-out, marshmallows and a really pretty sky full of stars."

Isabel listened to Parker talk to her roommate. "More deniability? Parker? What are you planning?"

"You so, so, so, so are. Pretty stars and camp-outs, at least he's treating you right, too." Nothing against Steve-Peter, who'd also been good boyfriend material. But Isabel had never sounded like this about him. "Good. Remind Wyatt I have first ass-kicking privileges if he screws this up. And, um..."

Nourhane was tapping her watch, and said, "Soon! Or the security guards might see us!"

"Yeah, hang on... Uh. Well? They have this rule here. About not climbing things...."

"Yeah, I am and he is," Isabel admitted. "And trust me, he knows to fear you."

"Not climbing...And you're going to climb. Send me pictures."

"You got it." Parker picked up the rope, and gave Nourhane a thumb's up. "You'll get a full view of Oxford at night from the top of Dolphin Quad. Assuming we don't get busted or land on our heads. Hey, anyone showing up for Parent's Weekend for you? 'Cause if Max is there, tell him I said 'hiiiiii'. That should scare him."

"Be careful," she laughed before growing a little more serious. "No, I'm safe this weekend. Max and Michael are still a little too battle weary to deal with the insanity here. So they're staying home and mom and dad are staying there to look after them."

"Ah, well. This way, you can put off having Wyatt meet your insane brothers just that much longer," Parker said philosophically. "And you and Xander can support Bridge in his hour of paranoia. His commanding officer has him wigging out by just being in contact with him and Z. Poor guy."

"It's time!" Nourhane insisted.

"Right. Time to go test boundaries and take photos. Talk to you after this weekend?"

"He met them when he orbed me back from Roswell a few weeks ago. They liked him. Of course we weren't dating at the point, so that does change things," Isabel pointed out. "But I will will look out for Bridge."

"You will. Definitely. Have fun storming the castle!"
