I Just Want To Be Normal

Isabel blinked. "How?" she asked, tentatively reaching out to touch his spikes.

Molly stepped closer to Isabel. "He was investigating something in a closet in the school, there was a flash of light and then he was a hedgehog," she explained. "Anakin said it was the same closet that turned Logan into a bunny last fall so I don't think it's permanent."

"It figures," Isabel said as she carefully lifted Greg out of Molly's hand. "Around here curiosity doesn't kill the cat, it just changes it into a small, oddly appropriate, furry animal." She held him up in front of her face and smiled, "You're still cute though."

Greg squeaked happily and flailed a little.

"Anakin also said that it should only last a few days and that he will probably turn back on his own."

"That's what I've heard, both about Logan and then even with Jack last week, or Bridge before that," Isabel replied as she continued rubbing Greg's spikes. "I won't start to panic until we hit the ten day mark."

Greg eeped and curled into a wee ball without thinking about it.

Isabel cuddled him close. Carefully. "I would be very surprised if it went on that long. Don't worry. You can hang out here. I'll take care of you."

Greg made a wee hedgehog noise, uncurled, and happily cuddled.

Molly giggled. "He's so cute!

"So, I don't know Jack, even though I've seen him around and know who he is, but how did I miss Bridge getting turned into an animal?"

"I'll have to introduce you to Jack at Beach Workshop," Isabel grinned. "He's really a lot of fun. And somehow Bridge got turned into a ferret for a few days one of the last days we were in the cabins. He was adorable."

"Hmm, I'm going to have to try to go to the common rooms more," Molly said with a grin. "I keep missing stuff."

"You've been busy," Isabel grinned. "I heard about the note in the stairwell. Congratulations."

"Thank you." Molly grinned and blushed. "I like having my very own personal dork," she said.

Greg cuddled closer to Isabel at that.

He liked being someone's own personal dork, too.

Isabel smiled, she liked having a personal dork of her own as well. "That's good. I told him you guys would make a cute couple. I'm glad you're happy."

Molly blushed more. "Thank you.

"You seem to be pretty happy with your little hedgehog too," she said with a grin.

Isabel's own cheeks turned a lovely shade of pink as she smiled. "I am," she said simply.

"I'm really glad for you, Isabel," Molly said and looked down at the little hedgehog cuddling up to Isabel.

"Okay, I'm going to go now. Let you sort out whatever you need to with Greg. I'll see you both later," she said and headed out the door.

"Thanks, and thanks for bringing him up here" Isabel called after her.

"Now what am I going to do with you? Do I need to get a cage or a tank for you? Or would you like to sleep on the pillow here?" Isabel asked, holding out her hand and floating over one of the pillows off the extra bed/couch.

Greg flung himself on the pillow as a response.

"That answers that question," Isabel snickered. "You can sleep here, but it's not going to be the same is it?"

Greg shook his wee head sadly.

From:

"It'll just be a few days, and then it'll be over," she assured him once more. "And when it is, I'll cook you a nice dinner and then we can come back here and watch some of those very dark Mr. What episodes. You know, like the ones we watched the other night. How about that?"
