After last night's festivities, Isabel could use a little quiet. So tonight she's sitting in her room catching up on email, running through her lists of things to do for Fourth of July and possibly reading some Wendy the Werewolf Hunter fanfic. Not that she'd ever admit that.

The door is open.

"Thanks," she said, laughing as well. "I need to get a basket to carry him around in as well, just to keep him safe. It was easier with Jack last week. He could keep up with me and he had teeth so he could defend himself. Not so the poor wee hedgehog."

"He doesn't have teeth?" Xander asked, looking perplexed. "Or just not sharp ones?"

"He has weetiny teeth, and his little spikes," she said. "But I think the teeth on all the cats around here are probably bigger. I'm not going to take a chance."

"Good call," Xander said, thinking of Faithful and mentally sticking his tongue out no matter how much he allegedly wouldn't have eaten Bridge.

"Exactly. Having my boyfriend eaten by a cat would sort of ruin the summer," Isabel declared. "So I will be very careful until he's back to himself again."

"I don't blame you. And I think I should head down to bed - thanks again. " Xander waved to the wee hedgehog, and to Jeremiah. " Night, Greg. Jeremiah... don't eat him, 'kay?"
