Room 406, afternoon

Isabel had reached the point where studying just wasn't happenening any longer. A quick phone call had Parker appearing, loaded down with gifts.

The door was open, the carols were playing, Annie was wearing a wee Santa hat and Parker and Isabel were laughing like demented elves as they ate chocolate and drank eggnog while waiting for people to come by so they could hand out holiday presents.


[Assume handwavey phone calls telling their friends to stop by!]

"I'm not sure about most people either, which is why, hi, distribution now." Parker drew a ribbon across the floor in front of the kitten. "What did you get Cedric?"

Annie pounced happily.

"I'd gotten him a tiny pewter dragon," Isabel said. "Because he said he had to face a dragon once. But I gave it to him the other day when we had breakfast. But I also got him a book on American slang as well as a nice print for his wall."

"Good gifts," Parker agreed. "And I'm pretty happy with what I got him, too." She picked up Annie and cuddled her. "I should be back around New Year's. When are you heading to L.A.?"

"I wasn't planning on it. Greg's going home but I figure I'm just going to hang out here with Jack, Cedric and whoever else is around," Isabel shrugged.

"Then I'll give you a call from L.A., and let you know if anyone's killed anyone else yet. Just a matter of time," Parker said with triumphant gloom. "But I hope we get a good holiday out of it in spite of that."

"Bring a video camera," she suggested. "You could wind up with a death match worthy of pay per view. Still I bet you'll have fun. I thought about going but I figured someone needs to look after the guys."
