Room 406, Morning

The lack of a tree in her room had been bothering her, so Isabel spent Christmas Eve handwavily setting up a small tree on Xander's old desk. There's a stack of presents still to be distributed.

The door's open, the carols are playing and Isabel is wearing her penguin pajamas waiting for people to stop by.

Dawn, holidayrific in the new smart chick pajamas (http://www.pajamagram.com/smartchickpajamas.html) she'd gotten from Willow, padded down the hall and knocked on Isabel's door, wrapped (http://www.insanechicken.com/hot_sauce_of_the_month_club.html) package in hand.

"Come in!" Isabel waved. "I've got cookies and hot chocolate! There's no such thing as a healthy breakfast on Christmas morning!"

"I'm just here to drop off your present," she grinned, taking a cookie. "Merry Christmas, Isabel!"

"Merry Christmas to you to!" Isabel reached into the pile and pulled out two boxes. "Funny, cause I have some for you."

"Thank you, thank you!" She hugged Isabel. "You open first."

Isabel hugged her back then tried to look dignified. "You sure? Guests should go first." Of course she already had one finger sliding under the tape at one end.

Dawn grinned. "I'm sure. And I'm not a guest, I'm an insane elf in jammies bearing gifts. Totally different."

"Well in that case," she grinned, cheerfully ripping into the paper. "Oh awesome! We'll have to tastings each month. To see which one is best!"

"Plus, I bet they'd go differently with each flavor of ice cream," Dawn said enthusiastically, then tore into her own presents. She squealed when she saw the necklace. "Oh, Isabel, it's gorgeous! And lotions! I'll smell edible, and be moisturized all at the same time."

After sleeping in and enjoying the quiet of a Monday, Cedric made his way down the hall with a few wrapped gifts and knocked on the door.

"Is that the sound of elves bearing gifts?" Isabel grinned. "Come in."

"Good morning," Cedric said, coming inside. "Merry Christmas."

"To you as well!" Isabel said. "I've got breakfast. You'll love it, all sweet stuff."

He smiled and set his gifts onto her bed. "Feeding me again, are you?"

"And Dawn. She came by earlier," she smiled, taking another cookie for herself. "I like feeding you. You appreciate it."

"Of course I do," he said and smiled again. "How could someone not appreciate such good food?"

"That is one of life's great mysteries," Isabel shrugged. "Because I truly do believe that Jeff is a god of baked goods."

Peter knocked on Isabel's door with a wrapped present in hand. He thought Isabel was staying for the holidays, and he much preferred giving Christmas prsents ON Christmas.

"Peter! Hi! Come in! I have cookies!" Isabel smiled. "Merry Christmas!"

"Merry Christmas!" Peter replied with a grin. "Have you been having a good one?"

"Actually yes," she said happily. "Dawn and Cedric have both been by, I've talked to my family. It's all good."

"Wonderful," Peter agreed. "It's a good Christmas. I'm going to home to see my family tomorrow."

"Are you? That's nice," Isabel said as she rummaged through the pile of presents. "When will you be back? And here, this is for you."

"Before classes," Peter said definitely. "Willow's coming too." If Peter looked nervous, he certainly was. "Thank you," he said with a grin. He handed Isabel a medium size box with several smaller boxes inside.

He opened his present carefully. "Oh, Isabel, thank you so much. I can't wait to play a game with it."

"You like it? I don't know why, but for some reason I thought you when I saw it," she smiled. "Somehow I figured you'd like a good game of chess."

Isabel started out carefully opening the packages, but by the last one, paper was flying. "These are lovely!" She immediately hung them carefully from the tree.
