Isabel's Room - 406, Hyperion Hotel, Wednesday morning

Despite being up late, Isabel was still up early. After getting dressed, she booted up her laptop and grumbled when there was only the faintest of WiFi signals available, apparently from the building next store. The signal did get stronger the closer she got to the window. Which explains why Isabel is currently perched on the window sill, looking up things to do in LA.

Just like in Fandom, the door to her room was open.

"I like presents," Angel said, coming into the room. "Can I open it now?"

"Of course," Isabel grinned. "I hope you like it. For some reason it made me think of you."

Angel opened it up and laughed. "That's great. I'll have to put it in the office with the poster Molly got me."

"There's a message there," she smiled. "You better follow it. I don't want to wind up in some time warp and stumble across you two hundred years from now and find you all broody."

"I don't make fun of your hobbies."

"Have you ever thought of doing a Sudoku? It has to be more fun then angsting," Isabel teased.

"You know we used to do those back in math class," Angel said. He frowned. "I think that was before your time."

"Math class way back when you were a wee youngster? Or math class back before I came to Fandom?" she asked. "Cause when you were a youngster is definitely before my time."

"I'm not that old," Angel said, all pouty.

"You're what? Two hundred and something?" Isabel raised her eyebrow, "Consider the fact that I look seventeen. But I actually have only been alive and alert for a bit over ten years! That means you're about twenty time older then me. You're old!"

Well now he was pouting.

"But very young at heart," she said, patting him gently on the back.

"Doesn't beat," Angel said, grumpily.

"It doesn't matter. It's a state of mind!" Isabel insisted. "And since I'm pretty sure I know who did all the Christmas decorations around here, I'd have to say that you're still a kid where it counts."

"Oh great, now you're saying I'm immature," Angel teased.

"Oh god, I'm never going to be able to say anything right am I?" she said sadly.

[*flees* Back around 3:30 or so]

"So I shouldn't give you your present then," Angel teased.

"You don't have to," she smiled. "Inviting me out here and letting me bring Cedric was really more then enough."

"Want me to take it back?" Angel teased. "Or give it to Logan?"

"If Logan can possibly appreciate it, maybe it should be taken back," Isabel said, wrinkling her nose at the memory of the night before.

Angel was oblivious to her comment. He went out into the hallway where he'd left a carefully wrapped box. "Here. I hope you like it."

Isabel smiled and torn into the paper. When she opened the box, she held the dress in the air and stared. "Angel, this is stunning!"

"Figured it'd go well with your hair," Angel said.

"Oh it will! It's perfect! Now I just need an occasion to wear it!" she exlaimed.
