Isabel's Room - 406, Hyperion Hotel, Wednesday morning

Despite being up late, Isabel was still up early. After getting dressed, she booted up her laptop and grumbled when there was only the faintest of WiFi signals available, apparently from the building next store. The signal did get stronger the closer she got to the window. Which explains why Isabel is currently perched on the window sill, looking up things to do in LA.

Just like in Fandom, the door to her room was open.

Angel poked his head in. "Hey. What're you doing up?"

"I'm planning," Isabel said, looking up and waving. Then she looked back down and cursed as the signal dropped from the movement. "Damnit! Angel did anyone ever tell you about routers?"

"Routers? Of course," Angel said, as though he had any idea of what he was talking about. Which of course he didn't.

"They did? Then were you able to figure out how to get yours to fix the coffee properly? Mine isn't adding enough sugar," she said, her face perfectly serious.

"I take mine black," Angel replied, by way of explaning how this issue never came up.

Isabel laughed and put the laptop aside. "You have no idea what I'm talking about do you?"

"We're not talking about coffee?"

"It's a computer thing. But no worries, I'll make do. I've got enough information for now." She opened her closet and pulled out a large, wrapped, rectangle. "I believe I owe you a Christmas present."

"I like presents," Angel said, coming into the room. "Can I open it now?"

From next door, Cedric came over, trying to look saddened and/or in pain.

"I stubbed my toe," he said, mock sadly. "I'm not used to this place."

"Oh woe!" Isabel said, her face full of sympathy. "Does this mean you want to go home?"

He nodded slowly and frowned in great exaggeration. "I just want sympathy for my now sore toe."

"You'll get plenty of sympathy then," she grinned. "But if you're looking for someone to kiss it and make it better? Sorry, but I don't do feet."

"Does kissing toe have some magical restorative powers that I'm unaware of?" Cedric asked, stepping further into her room.

Since the wireless signal seemed to have permanently disappeared, Isabel closed the laptop, set it on the desk then sat cross-legged on her bed. "You've never heard the expression kiss it and make it better before?"

"I have not," he said, shaking his head. "What's it mean?"

"It's something you usually tell little kids when they skin their knee or get some kind of bump or bruise," she explained. "A kiss is supposed to make it all better."

After a long nap to get over the jet and portal lag, Parker went looking for Isabel. "Hey. Merry Late Christmas and Happy Early New Year."

Isabel was stretched out on her bed, wiggling her feet trying to get some feeling back in her toes after many hours of walking through the Getty with Cedric. "Hey! Back at you! How was Greece?"

"Gorgeous and amusing. Not unlike the guys." Parker bounced onto the bed, and batted at Isabel's toes. "Where've you been? I crashed out after I got here, but you weren't around when I woke up."

"Cedric and I went to the Getty museum and walked forever," she said. "We just got back a little while ago."

"Cedric's here too?" Parker looked very happy. "That's so cool. I thought both of you would be back in Fandom, and here you are. We're going to have *fun* this weekend."

"He is. We were talking about how quiet it was going to be in Fandom and decided that we needed to have some fun," Isabel grinned. "So in theory, we finally ran away together."

"Awesome. And I get to witness the elopement," Parker said with a grin. "I do hope that Jack and Sam are having a good time at the Time Agent Academy, though. I wish they could call and tell us what was happening."

"I'm trying not to think about it," she admitted. "Because if I think? I worry."
