Room 406, after lunch

After enjoying way too much ice cream last night, and then stopping by to make sure the wee time agent and wizard were tucked in, Isabel returned to her room and actually had a relatively peaceful night's sleep. Up early, she stretched and went for an extended run about the island, enjoying the good weather.

After a shower and lunch, she called her mom to fill her in on the details of the weekend.

The door was open and there was a broom sitting on the extra bed.

"I'm sure he'll love it," he said. "And I know he wants pictures of me as a five year old. Make him work for those."

"Oh don't worry," she promised with a wicked grin. "He will work very, very hard for them."

"And surprise him with the picture you must've gotten of us in the...thing that was not a fort."

"Of course. I only wish I'd been there to get a picture of the two of you waking up in it this morning," Isabel laughed. "Somehow I think it was probably much more cramped then cozy."

"I hit my head," he said. "It hurt."

"Awww, poor baby," she replied sadly. "I'd offer to kiss it and make it better but I think that only works when your five. Maybe chocolate would help instead?"

"I ate a lot of that this weekend too," he said, making another face. "And I mean, a lot."

"So I'd be better off offering some nice healthy fruits and vegetables?" Which could possibly require a trip to the cafeteria.

"I didn't say I still couldn't eat chocolate."

A quick rummage turned up her rather depleted supply of chocolate. "I really do need to restock soon. Running out would be way too traumatic around this place," she said, offering him the bag.

"Thank you," he said and took some chocolate. "Jack told me he came here the other night and was cranky."

Isabel laughed. "Peter Petrelli has stayed himself as well. We were having dinner when Jack turned up shirtless, sugar-hyped and a tad on the possessive side. It was amusing as hell."

"A possessive little boy?" He laughed because he couldn't help it. "That's adorable."

"I believe the exact words were MY Izzy," she facepalmed. "Thank god Peter had a sense of humor about it."

"Aww, maybe I'll call you that from now on."

Isabel raised an eyebrow. "I'll keep the broom."

"It'd be worth it," he teased.

In an extremely mature response, Isabel stuck her tongue out at him.

"My Izzy," he said and sighed.

"No, no, not like that. If you're going to do it right, you have to do it like this." Isabel walked over and hugged him around the waist. "My Cedric!" she said fiercely. "Of course it would work better if I were about two feet shorter and there was actually someone here to glare at."

"Perhaps I could just pick you up and carry you throughout the dormitories, saying 'My Izzy!'"

Isabel stepped back and put her hands up. "Don't make me hurt you."

"You wouldn't hurt me," he said. "I'm adorable, after all."

"Damnit, you know me to well," she pouted.

"Indeed, I do." He smiled again. "My Izzy." And he added fluttering eyelashes.
