"Yeah, he did, and it sounded like he was making out with Bel and Phoebe in the woods... I don't want to know," Parker said resolutely. "Anyway. Whap him for me. So." She grinned. Almost purred. "Casimir. Lechensky. Computer security guy, but not at all a geek. He's in the middle of some security check thing, he's bringing his laptop with him everywhere, but he's twenty-four, went to the Polytechnic, native of Estonia, and a very, very good dancer."
"Wednesday. Breakfast." Parker might have sounded pouty. "Coffee on Sunday, then dancing tonight, breakfast on Wednesday... And he's being a perfect gentleman. Grrrr."
"I hate this part!" Parker pouted. "The guy I don't want is all 'come back to my dacha' and the one I find hot and intelligent is acting as if I'm too young to know what boys are for. If he keeps doing this, I'm tackling him by next weekend."
"As if I'm every tacky when it comes to sex." Parker sighed, wiggling her toes. "Tasteful tackling? Anyway. I'm hoping to make him think it's his idea. They always are so much more attentive if they do. They get that startled look if you're too straightforward with them. Man, I miss Lee Adama...."
"Oh shut up. At least you have the possiblity of sex in your future. Unless I'm willing to settle for a casual hook-up, I see no sign of my drought ending," Isabel whined.
"Parker, he's a friend. And somehow I don't get the casual vibes off him the way you'd get them off Alec or Johnny," she said. "So drought. I'll deal."
"He didn't die when I kissed him," Parker protested, giggling. "Even if he did turn neon pink. C'mon, he's a sweetheart. Even gave me a traveler's blessing. So let him know I got here okay, please?"
Parker sighed, not surprised, but not thrilled, either. Number one on her speed-dial was about to become obsolete again. "I thought he would leave pretty soon. Tell him to be careful? If he doesn't call me? And...."
There really wasn't anything else she could say there.
"Cool." Parker closed her eyes. "Some things are just inevitable. Jarod leaving Fandom was one of them. I know you'll miss him, though." She sighed. "Any word from Jack?"
"Katara told me the post office is inter-dimensional and that it has ways of delivering things," Isabel explained. "So I wrote him a letter and addressed it care of the Time Agency, 51st century. Who knows, maybe he'll get it."
If they were letting him get mail. "I hope it gets there. Let me know if he writes back?" Hope still springs eternal, after all. Parker yawned again, this time unable to conceal it.
"Ohhh, fine, be all responsible. Tell people to call me. And not wake me up!" Parker yawned again, then chuckled. "And remember about Karal. I'll talk to you later, Isabel. Miss you."
