Isabel rummaged through the kitchen and came up with something that sort of resembled dinner, then she grabbed the remote and turned the TV to Iron Chef America. Bobby Flay, wild boar, and grilled watermelon? It looked interesting.
"That's true. Nothing creates tighter bonds then almost being eaten by the giant snake," she agreed. "Actually Xander almost could have been eaten by a giant snake once. His old principal turned into one. That's when he first got sent here."
"Whammied my eyes so that they were all irritated and burning. It was annoying, but honestly not all that scary," she shrugged. "Wyatt healed them for me in class Thursday morning."
"I'm sure he'll appreciate it. It was wearing off, but I was happy to have it done with," Isabel told him. "Although if I'd been thinking straight, I should have just gone to get Cedric to lift the spell. But I think we already established I wasn't thinking since I went to see her in the first place."
"Yeah, plus another day in sunglasses and you'd think I was going all Paris Hilton on you or something," she teased, although she was touched by his concern.
"No that's Britney. Or Lindsey. And wow, it's really embarrassing to admit that I actually sort of know what's up with them." She hid her face in her hands and shook her head. "I caught the tail end of Entertainment tonight earlier. That's it! It wasn't intentional."
"You're right," Isabel said slowly. "I suppose it's time I told you about my secret addiction to The Star and The Enquirer. I read them religiously every week."
Now it was Isabel's turn to give sympathetic pats. "Like you said, the first step is the hardest. Now that I've made it, hopefully I'm on the road to recovery."
"I appreciate it," she said sincerely. "And to show my appreciation, well, I've got some cookies from J,GoB in my room. Want me to go get them before the bad movie starts?"

"Is this seat taken?" she asked, glancing at the spot on the couch next to Peter.
