Saturday had been busy, but today had been even busier. Isabel had had a very busy day. In fact it had been so busy that Wyatt didn't catch up with her until he handwavily found her in the common room with the polar bear. They went back to her room where Isabel managed to get herself cleaned up (although there might have still been some blue eye shadow smeared in the corners of her eyes) and dressed in her penguin pajamas. That was when she got the bright idea to make a phone call.

Once Wyatt hung up the phone, Isabel yawned once more. "I'm tired."

Work and being social meant that Isabel was more then content to spend Sunday quietly in her room doing some writing, reading for class and surfing around on the web.

Then the phone rang. Recognizing the number, Isabel flipped open the phone. "Hi Maria. What's up?"

ExpandFor once, it was good news )

Thirty minutes later, Isabel hung up the phone and sat in stunned silence for a few minutes as the shock wore off. Then she let out a yell of pure glee, before starting to pack.

The door was open.
The last few days had been pretty relaxed. Class had been fun, and Isabel was grateful to Wyatt for healing her eyes. Talking with Andrew had been nice and she hoped that things worked out for him, she'd have to check with him in a day or so. Then there was last night in the common room. Isabel still smiled when she thought about it.

After hanging up from an unexpected but very welcome phone call, she pulled out her basket of manicure tools and started to do her nails.

The door was open.
Isabel rummaged through the kitchen and came up with something that sort of resembled dinner, then she grabbed the remote and turned the TV to Iron Chef America. Bobby Flay, wild boar, and grilled watermelon? It looked interesting.
Unable to get to sleep, Isabel flipped on her light and reached for a book. But once she opened it, she found she wasn't able to concentrate on the words on the page. Instead she thought back on the day. Surprisingly, saying goodbye to Aeryn hadn't been as hard as she thought it would be. It wasn't that Isabel wasn't going to miss her, maybe it was just that she'd gotten numb from too many goodbyes over the last few months. The football game had been fun and an unexpected call lifted her spirits enough that realizing what day it was didn't send her into an emo tailspin.

So there really wasn't a reason for her to be awake. Except the one on her calendar. August was coming closer.

[ooc: mostly establishy/linkdroppy but I'm around for a while.]
The day had certainly started well with breakfast and pretty scenery. Sadly the rest of the day hadn't been as exciting. After spending a few hours starting at the phone and debating calling Roswell, Isabel finally gave in and watched the torrent of the new Mr. What episode.
After the stress of yesterday, the charades, the magical solution, the discussion with the Halliwells, talking to Anders, and then a restless night's sleep disturbed by dreams of Bel and the Source, Isabel returned to her room after Revolutions and settled in for some comfort reading.

The door was open.
After a quick trip down the hall and a weekend of being entirely too damn social, Isabel is ready for a quiet night in with a good book.

The radio's playing, Annie's curled up on her feet and the door is open.
