Keeping busy was one way not to think. Between multiple common rooms and library, class and helping out Charlie, and a pleasant lunch of ice cream, Isabel has managed to avoid thinking about what was bothering her.

Tonight, the distraction was the gothic romance John had recommended to her in the library yesterday.

The door was open.
Peter had been quiet during the walk back from the barbeque, and he slipped away to his room as soon as they reached the fourth floor. Reluctantly Isabel let him go.

She let herself into her own room and flopped down on the bed, thinking back over the last twenty four hours. The the beach had been lots of fun. Even if some conversations were decidedly unhappy. Fortunately other conversations made up for it. Breakfast had been entertaining and she'd been able to help Aravis.

All in all, life was good. She should be happy, but Isabel couldn't forget how quickly August was approaching.

Flipping on the radio, she stared at the ceiling.

After the stress of yesterday, the charades, the magical solution, the discussion with the Halliwells, talking to Anders, and then a restless night's sleep disturbed by dreams of Bel and the Source, Isabel returned to her room after Revolutions and settled in for some comfort reading.

The door was open.

Warm, cozy and possibly not wearing not much in the way of clothing, Isabel snuggled up to a sleeping Greg and tried to relaxed. Or at least relax as much as was possible when there were competing stuffing recipes circulating in her head. She's not sure how staying in Fandom for the holiday became and option. But after talking to Jaye, and then Parker, staying in Fandom seemed to be the best thing.

All in all, life was looking up. She'd cooked Seely the breakfast she owed him, had a hilarious conversation with Cedric, and caught up with some other folks she hadn't talked to in a while. And best of all Peter was back in one piece.

She still hadn't heard from Max, after the email she'd sent him. But Isabel found it didn't bother her too much. Eventually they'd work it out. But for now, she was with friends and people who loved her. She couldn't ask for more.

Smiling, Isabel closed her eyes and went to sleep.
Isabel had thought long and hard about it and finally decided that the best way to approach Max was through an email. She wasn't ready to hear him yell or even worse hang up on her. An email, copied to both Michael, Liz and Maria would probably be the best way to ensure he found out the truth.

Dear Max )

She sent the email and sighed. It was out of her hands now. Pushing thoughts of Max out of her head, she found them replaced by worries about Peter and Luke. Shaking her head at her inability to do anything for them, Isabel grabbed a piece of string from the kitty toy box and started to play with Annie to try and distract herself.

The door was open.
