Room 406, evening

Aside from being social and cooking on Friday morning, answering a letter and talking to Jaina today, Isabel had had a mostly quiet weekend as she worked on finishing up her college applications. They were finally done and stacked neatly in a pile on her desk, ready to be mailed in the morning.

To celebrate, Isabel flipped on the TV and got ready to watch the premiere of The Amazing Race. She'd missed Phil Keoghan.

The door was open.

"When is your birthday?" Isabel asked. "That's something I should probably know for future reference."

"February 2," Wyatt said. "Technically, I'll be five next year. I hope you like younger guys."

"Technically right now? I'm twelve if you go by when we came out of the pods. Eighteen and a half if you go by physical age, and my birthday," she listed on her fingers. "And a bit older then nineteen if you take into account my six months on Antar."

Isabel grinned, "So call me Mrs. Robinsom."

"Mrs. Robinson, you are trying to seduce me?" Wyatt teased.

Isabel licked her lips and grinned. "I might have to take the fifth on that."

Wyatt laughed and pulled her in for another kiss. "So what's my present?" he said, giving her puppy dog eyes.

"Oh no! Not the puppy eyes!" she said sadly. "I cannot resist. Close your eyes."

It only took her a moment to retrieve the brightly colored sleep pants not boxers, despite the picture from the drawer she'd tucked them away in. "Here," Isabel said, dropping them into Wyatt's lap. "They amused me for some reason."

Wyatt opened his eyes and looked down, then laughed. "Are you trying to tell me something?" he said, grinning. "Hang on, I have to try these on." He disappeared into the bathroom to change out of his pants, then reemerged wearing the sleep pants and struck a pose.

Isabel ogled him appreciatively. This included some clapping and a wolf whistle or two. "Very nice. I thought the design was rather ironic but highly appropriate. You might be part angel, but you're definitely devilish."

"Does this mean you won't be alarmed if I lose the halo and start to grow horns?" Wyatt said.

"The only thing I want to see..."

Her mouth snapped shut as Isabel's face flushed red. There was just no way to finish that sentence without it sounding very dirty.

"I think I'm going to get changed myself now."

Wyatt couldn't help but grin. "Probably a good idea," he said. "It's getting late."

Still a bit facepalmy, Isabel grabbed her own pajamas and disappeared into the bathroom.

A few minutes later she emerged, ready for bed in her usual camisole and a pair of boxers. "So? Sleepy?"

He'd already pulled back the covers on the bed and was stretched out on it, proudly displaying his new sleep pants. "A little bit," he said, "but definitely in the mood for snuggles."

After taking care of the lighting, meaning the star light went on and the main light went off, Isabel stretched out next to Wyatt on the bed. "Comfy?" she asked, resting her hand on the soft flannel covering his hip.

He eased his arms around her. "Oh, yes," he said. "Definitely. Now that you're here."

"I knew it, I'm just a teddy bear."

There was an awful lot of warm skin just asking to be explored by lazy finger tips, Isabel realized with a smile.

"Most beautiful teddy bear I've ever seen," Wyatt said, playing with her hair.

"As far as teddy bears go, you're not so bad yourself bad yourself," she told him.

Idly Isabel drew idle patterns over Wyatt's chest with her fingers. "You're warm."

"A Whitelighter's duty is to soothe and comfort," Wyatt said, totally making that up since he hadn't really had any instruction in what a Whitelighter's duties were. "So we naturally are able to provide warmth if needed."

"When it's twenty degrees out? In January? I may never let you leave," Isabel warned. She was fairly certain the soothe and comfort comment was a line. But she'd give him an A for effort. "So are you going to soothe and comfort me?"

Wyatt pulled her close against his chest. "Of course," he said. "It would be a pleasure."

"Mutual even," she murmured, turning her head to drop a series of kisses along his collarbone.

"Mmmmmm," Wyatt said contentedly. "That's nice."

"So in other words? Don't stop?" Isabel asked between kisses. Not that she planned on stopping, but sometimes it helps to make sure.
