406, Monday afternoon

After a long, hot shower, Isabel finally felt warm. It's not that she didn't enjoy canoeing. She really did. It was the dumping part she could have done without. Now she's relaxing with a hot chocolate and her trashy novel.

Peter knocked on the doorframe and stuck his head in. Part of the head was probably an unexpected color, though. "Hey, Isabel. Got a minute?"

Isabel couldn't help herself. She laughed. "Rough weekend?"

Peter pointed to his eye, which was slightly bruised. "I don't care for clowns. I've decided this. Zero says hi, by the way."

"Ouch," she said, wincing in sympathy. "There's a story there I'm sure. What happened? I assume you need a dye job back?"

"I would appreciate it," Peter said, taking a seat. "Zero's brother got kidnapped by rival artists dressed as clowns at her birthday party. I was part of the rescue effort. Zero wanted to help protect my secret identity, so she strongly encouraged me to change my looks, but I think she mainly just wanted to see me with dyed hair."

"Why do I have a feeling Zero's family never have quiet parties?" Isabel sat up and quickly changed Peter's hair back to it's regular color. "That was good thinking on her part. But you're right, she probably just wanted to see what she missed. Did it match her hair?" Finished, she sat back. "By the way, I had to crash in your bed Friday night. It seems our cabin went missing."

"No, her hair was blue for too long. She wanted something different for summer," Peter said. "Thank you, by the way."

"Oh, so they actually pulled off the invisible cabin prank? Go Stickbugs!"

"Anytime. That's what I'm here for." She raised an eyebrow at his evident glee. "You realize I can change your hair back just as easily don't you?"

"But you won't because I already went through enough this weekend, right?" Peter asked, trying to give his best sad puppy face. "Because Friday night was even more dangerous for me than Sunday's rescue mission."

On his way to Jack's room, plant in one hand and bag in the other, Cedric stops when he notices Isabel's door open.

"Good afternoon, Isabel. How are you today?"

"Warm now," she replied. "Nice plant."

"Oh, it's not mine," he says, nodding at the plant. "I'm returning it to Jack since I'm sure he misses it. Warm? You were cold before?"

"Cute," she smiled. "Greg and I were canoeing earlier today and we got dumped. The water in the ocean is a little cold."

"Ah, yes, that would lead to being cold," he says. "Did you have a good time at least?"

Isabel's bright smile probably answered the question before she said a word. "I had a great time."

"You look like you did," he replies, nodding his head. "Good for you. Enjoy yourself."

"I am," Isabel replied. "Life is good right now." She looked down for a second, gathering her thoughts. "Do you remember when you said you'd help me practice? Did you mean that?"

Aeryn has no reason to go see Isabel other than because. So taking a break from 238, she heads over, knocking on the door.

Isabel looked up and smiled. "Hey! Come on in."

"Hi," she says, stepping inside. "I had to walk. Lucky you."

"Is this about the radio?" she asked. "You and Cam had a fight?"

Sometimes she hates the radio. "We had a fight, yes," she admits. "This isn't about it, no."

"Okay," Isabel nodded, willing to let it go. "Then what's up?"

"Distraction can be good sometimes," she says. "I think I got used to everyone being around."

"That makes sense. It is a little quiet being back in the room alone," Isabel agreed. "Still, I liked being able to take a shower this afternoon and not worry that I was hogging the bathroom."
