Disneyland, all day

Isabel had tried to be mature and blase about going to Disney. But by the time they'd gotten their tickets, gotten into the park and were standing on Main Street, she was pretty much bouncing with excitement. "Okay, where do you want to go first?"

Parker's waiting in line and looking speculatively up the mountain. "Good thing I'm not wearing a white shirt."

Parker whapped him on the arm, not hard, and said, "So. What happened to Cal, that she's suddenly Little Mary Sunshine? Angel had no idea."

Parker rolled her eyes, and took a few steps forward as the line advanced. "I mean, How did this happen? I was talking to Aeryn, and Zero, and a doctor might not be a bad idea if it's something like that." She squinted through her sunglasses at him. "She said you were there."

"I found her," Logan agreed. "We could go to the doctor, but what if he fixes her?"

Parker gave him a deeply dubious look. "Then things go back the way they were. Which is what we want. Right?"

"Where she's completely miserable?" Logan asked. "Where she can't decide if she wants to kill me, Angel, herself or just set the whole hotel on fire and be done with it? Do you hate her that much?"

"She chooses to be that miserable. And I have said this five thousand freakin' times to Angel, so I'll say it to you: she has to go. She has to leave. She's never going to get over him with while he's within reach and not in love with her. That's the simplest goddamn solution, why doesn't anyone listen to me?" Parker took a breath. "But this is not better. She's helpless and sweet and she's not Cal. She deserves to know who she is even more than she deserves to be happy."

"I wish she would leave!" Logan exclaimed. "But Angel's afraid she'll kill herself somehow if he tells her to go and he might be right. And then he'd be all guilty and broody and I'm trying to get him away from that."

"There is no way Angel gets what he wants here." Parker looked at Logan over her shades, thinking. "He doesn't get to see her happy. She either stays and is a mess, or goes away and figures it out. It's not his responsibility now. He's out of the decision path on this." Watching Logan, she said, "So. We'll take her to the doctor, and if there's nothing wrong with her, maybe a psychic. Find a cure." She took another step forward as they waited for the next log ride to settle into place.

Parker waited a minute, then said, "I appreciate that you're looking out for him, though. I get how hard that can be, since he's mind-bogglingly obstinate."

Angela looked down at her own winter-white sweater. "Too bad I am," she said. "Should I get a t-shirt or something, or just trust my tank top?"

Parker cocked her head. "Trust the tank, I think. If it's not new it won't stain the sweater." She grinned. "This is a lot more fun than I expected it would be. I thought it would be all little-kid rides."

"It is," Angela agreed. "I've never been to anything Disney, so I'm glad Isabel thought of this."

She played with the sweater a little more. "I'll stick it in my bag when we board so it'll stay dry."

Parker leaned back against one of the guide-rails, and put her shades on top of her head. "What else have you guys done since you got here? I'm hitting Venice Beach tonight for Thai food later, but is there other stuff I shouldn't miss?" She tilted her head, and nodded at the sweater comment.

"We hung out and talked to people -- and do you know what's up with Cal? -- yesterday morning," Angela said. "And then we went to lunch with Cam Mitchell and Veronica Mars." Her ears blushed pink. "V and I kind of, um, made out to get the boys to wear eyeliner."

Parker nodded along with this, then chuckled. "Ohhh my god. Have they done it? Did you get photos? Is V a good kisser?" She snickered, then calmed down a bit. "Cal's forgotten who she is, who we are-- and she said Logan said she hit her head." She pulled her shades back down. "I have my doubts it's that simple."

"She said Logan was nice," Angela said, keeping the volume low in case he was listening. "Very not-Cal. Angel thinks it's a trap."

Her ears turned pinker. "We're going to drag them to karaoke tomorrow," she said. "I think Cam captured Veronica -- who is a very good kisser -- and me on his phone's camera. I have this fear that the pictures will be all over campus when we get back."

"That's very very not Cal. Angel's paranoid. It's a stupid kind of trap, after all, she sleeps in the same building day after day; why do this?" Parker shook her head. "Even easier to get them on a job. No. Either she's had a breakdown, or maybe something else is going on. Too soon to be absolutely sure..." She glared at Logan from behind her shades.

"Yay, karaoke! It's sad how fond I've gotten of it. And the photos-everywhere is a valid fear. Although if you asked Cam, he *might* not spread them around. He's that much of a gentleman." Parker grinned. "Did Marty appreciate it?"

"Yeah, it's weird," Angela agreed. "And this isn't a fun thought? But she could kill Angel anytime if she really wanted to. So I think you're right, something very weird is going on."

She grinned. "I think Marty did. He couldn't really talk for a couple hours."

"I have some questions to ask Angel when we get back, or when he shows up. EIther way, she's got to be back to normal before we leave, or I think we'll have to take her with us-- Angel and Logan can barely take care of Sean, never mind an amnesiac 3,000 year-old Greek girl." Parker made a face. "I just hope she's ... reasonable, when she snaps out of it."

She snickered at the idea of Marty going goofy over the girlkissy, then looked wistful for a second, remembering Chloe and the kissing booth, and Jarod's reaction to that. "Cool. Yay for keeping him on his toes."

"Could we drag her back to Fandom?" Angela was curious. "You know they're kind of strict on the no-townies-in-the-dorms thing, and ... okay, maybe she could teach again?"

She shrugged. "Let me know what Angel says. Oh, hey, were you going to do something with Eric?"

"Yeah, I know." Parker looked glum. "And what could she teach like this? Dress making? No, you're not wrong, we'd have to have some idea how to fix it, or send her back to Thrace, and find Widow Twanky. But that's the extreme case, I hope." She blinked at the name Eric, then nodded. "Right, yes, Weiss. He was saying there's good Thai near Venice Beach. You guys are welcome to come with, if you're hungry by then too."
