Room 406, morning

Isabel still felt a bit guilty about leaving Annie behind while she was in LA so she decided to spend the morning making it up to her. Mostly that meant using her powers to send a small toy mouse zooming around the room for the cat to stalk.

The door was open so she could meet some of the new or even not so new people if any happened to wander by.

Isabel blinked. Repeatedly. Then laughed out loud. "Dying? No! He graduates in May you dope!"

Dawn hid behind her hair, blushing. "I knew that."

Patting Dawn's shoulder, Isabel smiled. "It's an honest mistake. Especially the way I phased it."

"If you need help cheering him up, I could do maybe help with that?" Dawn offered. "Like an assistant cheerer upper."

"He's doing okay," she said, remembering how she'd napped on his shoulder. "But he does deserve something fun. Any ideas?"

"Chocolate always seems to go over well," Dawn suggested.

"Chocolate is good," Isabel agreed. "But we have to go beyond the standard box of chocolates. It needs to be something silly and fun."

"Um," Dawn thought for a minute, "Costumes? Not, like, sexy ones, but silly ones?"

"Yes, the sillier the better," she nodded. "I refuse to be responsible for what he'd say if we showed up in French maid outfits."

Dawn blinked. "I think I'm too young to know."

"Think of what you know about Jack, and just use a little imagination," Isabel chuckled.

Dawn blushed bright red and eeped.

"That's Jack," she grinned. "I doubt he'd mean it seriously. With us at least. But he'd probably just say it to see how red he can make us."

"So, let's not do that," Dawn decided. "Um, think goofy. Animals?"

"Even better! Alien animals. Meep. Meep. Uh-huh!"

"Yip, yip, yip!" Dawn bounced, trying not to giggle. "We need alien parts."

"Pipe cleaners, glitter, styrofoam balls, head bands," Isabel listed. "Do we want fur as well? Or do you think the antennae and our new language will be enough?"

"Hmmm..." Dawn considered, "Will he get it if we don't wear fur, or will he just think we've lost it?"

"Honestly? Jack's not from around here. He's not going to have a clue what the hell we're doing no matter what we're wearing," she pointed out. "So lets just stick with antennae."

"Okay. Lower embarrassment factor, that's good."

"Yes, it's bad enough radio will report on silly antics. We don't need to have them speculating on our clothing as well."

Dawn set up straight at the idea of having to explain to Sam. "Yeah, no radio speculation, please."

"Yeah, that would be bad. I'll get the stuff tomorrow. Maybe we can do it this weekend?"

"Sounds good," Dawn nodded.
