Room 406, morning

Isabel still felt a bit guilty about leaving Annie behind while she was in LA so she decided to spend the morning making it up to her. Mostly that meant using her powers to send a small toy mouse zooming around the room for the cat to stalk.

The door was open so she could meet some of the new or even not so new people if any happened to wander by.

Jo was exploring the rest of the floor when she noticed the open door. "Hey."

"Hi!" Isabel said, sending the mouse flying towards the door. Annie chased after it and pounced. "New person right? Or did you just hide really well for the last few months?"

"New," Jo grinned at she watched Annie. "Jo Harvelle."

"Isabel Evans," she replied. "Nice to meet you. You can come in if you'd like. Annie's friendly."

"Same to you," Jo said as she came in. "She yours, or your roomies?"

Liz was currently walking through the dorms and getting used to the place, when she came by room 406 she noticed that it was open and debated whether or not to stop by and meet new people, finally she decided to stop by for a few minutes, "hi," she said shyly as she stood in the doorway.

"Hi," Isabel waved. "I'm Isabel. I don't bite and Annie here only attacks if you have catnip."

"I'm Liz," Liz smiled, and feeling slightly more confident she entered the room.

"Nice to meet you," she smiled. "How are you settling in?" Annie walked over to stalk the new shoes in the room.

Ami ventured out of 408 and almost immediately came upon 406 with its open door.

Knocking shyly she tried a tentative "hello?"

"Hi!" Isabel smiled. "Settling in okay?"

Ami peeked in and nodded. "I think so. Have not made it to town yet, but found my room at least and the cafeteria." She walked in a bit more and bowed a little. "I am Ami, it is nice to meet you. I am in 408 just down the hall."

Isabel nodded back. "Nice to meet you neighbor. I'm Isabel Evans, and this," she said, rubbing Annie's back. "Is Annie. You've found the important things. A place to sleep and food."

"Hi there," Isabel called out.

"Hey," Peter said. He gave Isabel a smile since hey, eye candy in the morning. Nice. "How's it going?"

"Pretty well," she replied. "I'm just having fun explaining exactly how weird this place is. Isabel Evans. Nice to meet you."

Dawn knocked on the door, looking a little shell-shocked. "They didn't know about chocolate."

"Do they come from a hell dimension?" Isabel boggled.

"I don't think so?" Dawn wasn't sure. "I had to fix that, right away. I mean, chocolate. Also, hi, and welcome back. Did you have fun?"

"Dawn, be for real! I don't care if everything else is sunshine and puppies, without chocolate it's definitely at least a minor hell dimension." She grinned up at Dawn, held out her hand towards the desk drawer and a minute later was rewarded with a bag of Dove pieces. "Sit, have some sympathy chocolate. And hi! Thank you and thank you once more for taking care of Annie and hell yes did we have fun."

Parker came by after she visited the gym, her expression tense, hands full of envelopes and brochures. "Hey. Look at these." She dropped them on Isabel's bed, then folded down to pick up Annie and cuddle her. "I need alcohol."

Isabel eyed the brochures warily, then picked one up. "Isn't it a little early to be hitting the bottle." After reading just the cover of one she nodded. "Nevermind. I'll buy you a bottle."

"Thanks." Parker stroked Annie's fur, and pointed to one that had fallen sideways. "Stanford." One on top. "Georgetown." One below that. "Harvard. All of them. I have cool problems. And I have no *clue* what to do."

"Christ Parker," Isabel said, impressed. "A spread sheet of pros and cons maybe? I mean Georgetown, nearby, easy enough to hook up with friends if you want dinner, hint, hint. But then Stanford's got the whole San Fran thing going for it."
