Getting up on a cold winter morning was difficult, it was especially difficult when someone was snuggled up to you. But duty called.

Isabel opened the library on time, her usual mocha in hand.

Tentative fingers wound through Angela's hair. "I didn't know that," she said quietly. "So ... his head seems like it would be a scary place, especially now."

"It's not something I mention a lot. Or something I do all that often. I mean people deserver their privacy right?" She looked down at the desk. "I figured I'd go in, take a peek and see what was going on. I thought the worse would be that Bel was being an ass on his own and I'd owe him an apology. Obviously it was more then that." Another sigh as Isabel picked up a pencil and turned it in her hands. "Bel's in there, but he's trapped. In chains. He can't do anything. The Source is the one that's been hurting people. He's the one that kidnapped you."

"He's chained?" Angela asked, looking sad. "And I knew whoever kidnapped me wasn't ... a person. I just had no idea how big it was." She shuddered. "Definitely worse than an invasion."

"He's chained and has pretty much given up. I tried to talk to him, but he just wanted me out of there before I got hurt." Isabel gestured at the books she still had scattered about the counter. "I've been trying to figure out a way to save him. Mostly so that I can kill him for getting into this mess. But I can't."

"It sounds like too much for anybody," Angela said. "I ... good luck? Is there anything I can do?"

"Luck would be great, considering I know nothing about magic and am just blindly stumbling around trying to find something," she admitted. "I'm so much better at alien conspiracy theories."

"I'm pretty useless at all of it," Angela said. "I can look stuff up? But I'm not an expert."

"Well pick a book if you want. Maybe we'll get lucky."

"In the library?" Angela asked, then regretted the flippancy. "Dibs on that maroon one. It looks like it weighs a few thousand pounds less than the others."

"I think it's a rule that old and dusty tomes must weigh the same as a large hunk of granite," Isabel said as she handed the book over.
