Room 406, afternoon

She'd needed last night, Isabel realized. After everything that had happened, she needed a night of being quiet and feeling safe.

Eventually she'd made it back to her room. After a shower, she'd called her mom, feigning surprise at the news of the destruction of the Meta-Chem, and quickly changing the subject to the cleaning supplies that were currently working busily around the room.

"I know mom," she said eventually. "Yes, we'll be out for dinner soon. I promise. Bye." Isabel hung up her phone and opened her laptop. Solitaire would be a good way to not think for the afternoon.

[Door closed, post is open! And I'm about to go AFK till about 7 EST. I'll grab pings when I get back. And I'm back!!!]

"It's open," Isabel called, setting aside the laptop.

Meg opened the door. As bad as she was feeling, she couldn't help but smile slightly to actually see Isabel alive and in one piece.

"Oh my god, Meg. I'm so sorry," she said immediately.

Chris figured that Isabel (and Wyatt) wouldn't be up for visitors the previous night, but he wanted to see for himself that she was okay, so he knocked on her door on Saturday afternoon.

Chris let himself in and immediately went to hug Isabel.

After getting Chris' message last night, Johnny had made plans to check in on her today... to see for himself that she was here and okay.

He knocked softly, in case she was resting.

She really should just leave the door open at this rate, Isabel realized with a sigh. Opening it, she smiled at Johnny. "Hey stranger."

Anders's phone had really picked a stupid time to withhold his voicemail for a few honrs, and so the moment he'd listened to Wyatt's message from last night he was taking the stairs four at a time to the fourth floor and banging on Isabel's door.

"It's open," she called out, ready to go open the door herself if whoever it was didn't hear her over the banging.

And hey, just like that the door banged open and Isabel might very soon find herself tackleglomphugged by six feet of previously frantic, now relieved, but still flaily 'little brother.'

Having gotten Wyatt's message, there was no way that Peter wasn't going to stop by Isabel's room to make sure she was okay. He knocked, hoping she was in.

For a change, Isabel actually opened the door herself. "Hi," she said when she saw who it was. "I hear you picked up a new talent?"

"And yet that's not half as interesting as you not being dead," Peter replied.

Michael didn't bother to knock, just walked straight in and hugged her hard.

Isabel hugged him back, just as hard. "I'm okay," she promised.

Parker had handwavily gotten the news that Isabel was okay from Anders, but she really needed the reassurance herself.

*ring* And if she wasn't okay, there was always the Portalocity option.

The number on the caller ID was not a surprise. Isabel flipped open the phone and prepared to be yelled at. "Hi Parker."

"You're okay." And that was enough for her to put down the lighter, at least for the duration of the phone call. "Oh thank God and Jesus Christ, never do that again! What the hell, Isabel?"

Right, so hearing the word "throwdown" in connection with *Isabel* last night on the radio? Has Bridge heading upstairs to check up on her first chance he's got. He knocks at the door, hoping she's in.

"Hey," Bridge says, stepping inside. "So. Uh. I've been somewhat out of the loop what with being stuck as a little ball of light for most of the week, but *something* big obviously happened and I just wanted to, well, I wanted to see if you were okay."
